Words of Wisdom from an SDR turned AE

This week I interviewed Charles Bates, a member of the TopSDRs network who we placed into a founding account executive role a few months ago. I’ll share the whole interview next week, but I wanted to kick off this Friday AM with some words of wisdom from Charles.

Three months ago, Charles was stuck in an SDR role with no clear path to account executive.

Now he’s a founding account executive who closed five deals last month alone.

I asked Charles what his advice would be for SDRs who feel like they are stuck the same way he was; here is what he had to say:

“You gotta make that jump if you really want to make the money... all the hard work you’re putting in... is just being handed off to somebody else to capitalize on."…"Bet on yourself and take risks, because worst case scenario, there’s a ton of SDR seats open everywhere, and you can always go back to it if it’s not for you, but you’ll never know until you try it"
